Soup Bases take the work out of preparation for today's busy chef. Our bases are made from cooking the finest meats, seafood and poultry into a concentrate that delivers the flavor, aroma, color, and body. They'll stay fresh for months unopened. After opening they're best refrigerated. We carry meat first bases as opposed to bases that have salt as the first ingredient. This isn't just in the health conscious bases, but across our entire product line. Our health conscious line of bases are low sodium and no MSG added meat first products. These bases dissolve easily in water to make stock, or can be used right out of the jar to add some extra flavor to foods. Because they're concentrated, they make perfect marinade or dry rub seasoning for grilling. Try turning your leftovers into great soups using these bases. Unless otherwise marked on the container mix: 3/4 Tablespoon of base to 1 cup of water; or 4 ounces of base to 5 quarts of water; or 1 cup of base to 5 gallons of water.
